The Whisper Legacy Continues

Now that Into the Shadow Realm is completed and released, I wanted to share what's coming next in the series. After all, Whisper's story may be over, but that doesn't mean there aren't still more to tell!

Whisper has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've always known her, and always wanted to give her a story worthy of her character. It took until 2010 to discover that story, and it took three full novels to tell the entire tale.

But in telling her story, others came to be as well.

Some of these stories involve Whisper, others not at all. But that is all part of the fun. In joining Whisper throughout her journey, I hope readers have come to love the characters that have helped her along the way, or otherwise played a part in her quest to save Cole, battle the Raven-Eater, declare war on the Great Spirit, and save her loved one from the shadow realm.

So, what's coming next?

I've said since the beginning that The Whisper Legacy is a four-book series. However, Whisper's story was told in three. So, what happened to the fourth book? It hasn't been forgotten! The fourth Whisper book will take readers back to the beginning to tell two stories - how Sun Eagle became the Raven-Eater, and how Whisper came to be in Smoke Speaker's care. This will be a prequel of sorts, exploring the invasion of white settlers on native land as well as the journey into the Land of the Dead that birthed the Raven-Eater.

For those who have read up through Into the Shadow Realm, you will have been introduced to a wealth of characters who make up the Sky Vault. And if you're anything like me, you want to know more about them. The first spinoff novel from The Whisper Legacy will focus on Father Moon. His nightly escapades, his fallout with Sun Woman...and his future with the Girl Who Climbed to the Sky.

There are many more characters with their own stories, and for now I'm letting them build in my head. Stay tuned for more details on what you'll see from The Whisper Legacy!
