Cover Reveal for Erin Danzer!

It's no fooling - Erin Danzer really has a new book coming out! On April 10, The Vampire's Daughter, Book One of the Emmie Davenport series, will be published by Nevermore Press. Today I'm very happy to help Erin show off the cover and blurb for her upcoming release! VampireDaughterCover

Ordinary girl Emmie Davenport thought college would be a fresh beginning. Little did she know it would change her life forever. After a vicious vampire attack, Emmie discovers the truth about her not-so-ordinary yet deceased parents. Now it is up to her to continue their legacy.

To guide her through this new life is TJ Hawthorne, a self-proclaimed badass who comes to town just to train her. Tensions rise as Emmie denies the attraction she feels toward him, especially now that she’s rekindled a relationship with her best friend, Logan.

But training with TJ is only half the battle. After multiple attacks by otherworldly creatures on campus, TJ whisks Emmie and Logan off to Chicago. There, Emmie learns another devastating truth that further shatters her world. In the end, she must lose someone she loves -- or become the thing she hates most.

MEAbout the Author: Ever since she was small, Erin's imagination has led her to tell stories and create worlds, including the world of Kalearnia (found in the Spiral Defenders series). Her school notebooks were doodled with pictures and writing notes in the margins beside class notes. No scrap of paper was safe from all of Erin's notes and creations. But writing wouldn't pay the bills for a very long time. Erin spent three summers giving away smiles as she handed out clothes to the working populace of an amusement park. It was the best three summers of her life (also where she met her husband). Since then, Erin has become a mediocre cookie decorator, learned to make a mean pizza in less than two minutes, and has sold dresses as well as window dressings. When she isn't exploring worlds of her own creation, you can find Erin with her nose stuck in the worlds of others, supporting Indie Authors everywhere, hanging out on Facebook, or spending time with her kids, husband, and their cat. Erin loves connecting with her readers. To learn more, visit her website:

"Unbroken Beings" Cover!

The cover for my new novel, Unbroken Beings, was revealed on Monday! I know, I'm a little late. But I'm proud to share it with the blog world now :). Check it out!

Cover by Michelle Monique

Unbroken Beings is the sequel to Fragile Creatures, but can be read as a standalone. It is set to release mid to late-2015. Fragile Creatures was special to me because it allowed me to put two of my favorite animals, Ruke and PJ, into a book and share them with the world.

Unbroken Beings is just as special, for a different reason. This book touches on the topic of poaching, and the importance of preserving our natural world. The characters face great loss, but also great hope as they learn what it truly means to be one with the land. And I hope the second part of Evie's story touches your hearts as much as it did mine.

“Promise me, little elf.”

Evangeline Frost had a plan, once. Attend a prestigious art school, become a renowned painter. It was a dream she shared with her father, one that was ripped away in the car accident that claimed his life.

At California’s Kindred Hides Wildlife Preserve, Evangeline thought she had finally grieved for her father and moved on. But now, halfway around the world in Zambia at a new sanctuary for animals, Evangeline finds herself haunted by old memories … and a promise she has yet to fulfill.

Nightmares plague her dreams. Caster’s flirtations confuse her. And when poachers invade the preserve, they leave behind a devastation that threatens to break her apart.

Now Evangeline lives for a different dream: to save the lives of every animal who calls the preserve home, no matter the cost. A crusade that strains her budding relationship with Caster, a mission taking her further away from dreams of the past ‒ and gives her an orphaned elephant calf to call her own.

Evangeline Frost has a new plan. Protect the preserve and keep a promise that will finally heal her heart … or put her very life at risk.

In just in case you want to see Ruke again, here is the cover and blurb for Fragile Creatures!

Seventeen-year-old Evangeline Frost had a great life, until the car accident that killed her father and turned her mother into a bitter alcoholic. Unable to bear the guilt, Evangeline attempts to take her own life, saved only by the memory of her beloved father.

Left with no other options, Evangeline is enrolled in a program for troubled teens at Kindred Hides Wildlife Preserve. There she meets Caster, a keeper as annoying as he is caring; Jett and Lettie, who treat her more like a daughter than troubled teen; and Ruke, a prized giraffe in mourning for his lost mate.

Immersed in the preserve with her new friends, Evangeline finally begins to heal. But the haunting memories of the accident and her mother’s unforgiving words threaten to destroy her progress. Only her new friends and their unconditional support, along with her own special connection with Ruke, can save her.

Evangeline must learn that there is redemption for her father’s death, and that the bonds between human, animal, and life are not as fragile as she once thought.

Losing It - Your Perfect Valentine's Day Gift!

Confession: I was never a big romance reader. I preferred stories of fantasy and adventure and was skeptical when it came to stories of love. Always the cynic when it came to relationships!

But I would always wonder just what was in those books my mom would never let me touch on her bookshelf - an entire bookshelf of Nora Roberts, Danielle Steel, Sandra Brown, and others I'm likely forgetting. When she finally thought me old enough to give one a go, she handed me a Nora Roberts book, and I finally saw what all the fuss was all about. So I read just about every Nora Roberts book on the shelf, then moved on to the others.

In fact, as much as I am still a cynic, Nora Roberts' Dance Upon the Air changed the way I looked at love It gave me hope. I still have that book (pretty sure I stole it from my mom. Sorry, Mom!) and it is one of my most re-read books.

I wrote my first romance novel last year, Damsel Not. While my heroine still holds that cynical and stubborn outlook that I maintain to the day, she also lets herself open up to the possibility of happiness. I wrote that book remembering how I felt reading one of my first romance novels: surprised, excited, pessimistic, and, well, a little giggly (hey, I was in middle school).

Giving Caster and Evangeline of Fragile Creatures their own romantic scene was a combination of all those things romance books made me want. I hope you enjoy it!
